President Nixon in his book "Cease the Moment" spoke of Satellite TV- a the tool that liberated the Russians and the other Bolshevik comrades from the tyranny of Communism; it wrapped the Iron Curtain of the ignorance and paved the way for the Liberal Democracy-an exercise of free will for the born free peoples, so that the people could invent their future with their own capabilities and convictions.
Some lookers on the games(social scientists) opine other wise; they say that the room for Social equality was already there in the Bolshevik Russia, and was logical as well because the proletariat bosses who remained in power had grabbed enough of the money to churn their allegiance to the Capitalism.
The episode of 1989-the fall of Berlin Wall is quoted to be the zenith of that Velvet Revolution, the second Fidel to that movement were Roman Catholic Poles and other Christian Groups of Eastern Europe financed by the entrepreneurs, basically the Velvet Revolution was the brain child of the Capitalists; it augmented the future of the "great game".
Owing to their incapacity to nurture archetype of dreamers who built America, in the wake of 9/11, and the offshore knowledge pools that offer the reinvention of the Capitalistic hegemony-courtesy dot com boom (later a blessing in the disguise).
The psyche of the entrepreneurs has enticed and lured the "Capitalists" to relocate their business infrastructures, research and development and their capitals (they have already made hefty investments and are inclined to invest more) in some countries that used to be at their receiving end in context and perspective of power and ideologies in the past and to certain others cultural and ethnic compositions-nation states, that hitherto are not known to the capitalists.
The entrepreneurs for the purpose to facilitate the operations and with the goal to manage feed back for the security and risk management of their businesses, they are making expert use of the proven tools (that delivered the results for them in the secular West)such as Media, Supply Chains, Information Technology tools and Distribution networks...
These advanced parties of facilitation tools have already started making inroads into the very fabric of theocratic ally oriented South Asian societies- the religion (the so called dogma), as a basic ploy aptly serves the Establishments of these regions, at times to pacify the deprived souls, and at times otherwise recruits the aggression thus created in the people- much like that of the ancient West.
Sensing the urgency and fearing the challenges to the established cultures and conventions, the Politicians and the Establishments, in these regions where bulk of the investments have made by the entrepreneurs, and the adjoining nation-states within these geographies of strategic importance, are striking deals with the ginger groups such as Media, Clerics and venal-elites, the happenings of the recent times -the attacks, suicidal missions, the upsurge of extremism, the soaring of the right wing political parties, and the pro government stances of the media in certain nation states, are all clues to the up-coming scenario in these regions of strategic importance.
The other side of the coin tells a different story (counter perspectives), the entrepreneurs along with like minded cliques in these geographies of their focal interest are hell bent to use their material resources, power and influence to annihilate the cultural barriers in the way of their cherished goals.
The nuclear Pakistan and India are the hot spots. Russia being the adversary, China being prowling reaper, the European Union (aspiring to stuff the gap in the absence of American dominance) all having strategic interests in the regions, are covertly using tactics to control and safeguard their individual shares, not to forget the declared nexus of evil.
The credit crunches, the recent spiraling of oil prices all point to the doom that is larking at the world; the sanity of the world's leadership it seems would be challenged by the hostile forces of greed and fear in the near future, the fight and flight responses would determine the fate of the stakes of the gamers.
Are India and Pakistan at the verge of war; if so is the case than who would play the role of a catalyst? Considering the record prospects of war it seems are unlikely, both the militaries had standoff in Dec 2001, it was defused by the than Clinton administration (the stimuli was the knowledge pools).
But considering the ground realities this time around-Obama's stance to resolve the Kashmir issue, the threat seems real, because the right wingers- the 'spinal column', along with Establishments are sensing threats to their very survival due to the outburst of Information Technologies tools that have curtailed their powers of patronage-the beneficiaries in the past context were clerics and the bureaucratic intellect.
In the race of life don't pass by more than you over take formula could halt the designs of sulking reapers, and if these competing ideologies kept moving on, we could experience another out break of SAARS- not the viral infection, it would the sinus infection caused by the smoke of bombs.
